The Annandale Cardinals are six best friends from Minneapolis, MN. Their alt-country sound owes heavily to their punk rock roots, defining a signature blend of twang and grit. Since forming in 2009, they have released a debut full-length titled “Home,” toured regionally and are in the midst of writing a new album.
Drawing influence from the songwriting of Bruce Springsteen and Ryan Adams, Tyler Haag crafts songs close to the heart dominated by stark landscapes and strained relationships. Bassist Matt Day and drummer Joe Kill‘em define a new blend of country and punk, and the dual electrics of John Bjorkman and Eric Frame are spankin‘ leads and powerful rhythms. Multi-instrumentalist Tony Cipolle fills in auxiliary piano, organ, banjo and harmonica.
