Distortion Method was started back in 1996 (but with a different name) by a group of guys with similar tastes in music. During the first four years the band went through several different names until it finally landed on “Distortion Method“ referring to the unique “method“ for creating the “distortion” when recording the guitars…. which were usually recorded clean and effects were added afterwards. During those same four years several band members came and went until finally only one remained…. Me. Since about summer of 2000 Distortion Method has been my own personal project for me to make the kind of music I like and want to hear. My music is usually very personal. I basically only write music for myself, my friends and my family. I write what I want to hear or what I want to say to someone. If someone else gets enjoyment out of it, that‘s a huge bonus.
